U.S. Immigration Requirements for Certificate Translation Services

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S.), formerly Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS), requires a “certified translation” of all foreign language documents. These documents include birth certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, death certificates, diplomas, court and police records and any other document not in English that the U.S.C.I.S. has required you to submit with your application.

Some customers misunderstand this requirement and ask for a “licensed translator” or “certified translator”. Please note that the U.S. government is not responsible for certifying or licensing translation professionals.

Requirements for U.S. Academic Institutions and Evaluation Services

Most U.S. academic institutions and transcript evaluation services require clear and legible photocopies of precise word-for-word translations of all documents not in English, including medical records, vaccinations, diplomas, transcripts, letters of recommendation and other foreign language documents. We Deliver

Upon completion of your document, PLG will deliver (2) notarized documents with a certification statement that will be ready for submission to the U.S.C.I.S. and U.S. academic institutions or transcript evaluation services.
